Our mandate is championing the rights of women/girls domestic workers

DWN SUPPORT DOMESTIC WOMEN AMID COVID-19

As an organization, we continue to improve the lives of women domestic workers’ relationships with employers by creating awareness of their rights and responsibilities. Due to lost income and jobs due to Covid-19 pandemic and lock downs, some started small businesses as an alternative way of supporting their families and supplement their income. As an organization,we have partnered with key partner like Kenya Community Development Foundation to support them by implementation of “Inua Mama Fua” post-Covid recovery project. We want to thank all our partners and the government for the good relationship as we impact the lives of the women domestic workers.

Dhobi Women Network continues to impact lives by responding to women’s needs amid Covid 19 and those who lost income. Yesterday we issued cheques to those who lost jobs to scale up their businesses and others who want to start new businesses. We thank our partner Kenya Community Development Foundation for their kind support towards this noble cause.
