On 20th September, Dhobi Women Network Executive Director Grace Ngugi and staff paid a courtesy call to the County Commissioner Mombasa County to discuss the partnership where the District County Commissioners, Assistant County Commissioners, chiefs and assistant chiefs will be attending a training on Labour rights and response to Gender Based Violence. Also in attendance will be Police manning the Gender desks, Ward admins, CSO’s, KUDHEIHA to discuss how to improve the sector and support to those working as domestic workers within Mombasa County. It was also an opportunity to share the Dhobi Women Network USSD Code reporting system with KUDHEIHA officials which is being to report cases of rights violations.
