During the 57th National Labour Day, Dhobi Women Network in partnership with other 10 grassroots Women Domestic workers groups, commemorated the day by Launching Nairobi County Chapter where they called on the Government to ratify ILO Convention C 189 on descent work. The women supported the move by signing the banner and petition to the government. It was also time for them to share their experiences and encourage each other in the sector by playing soccer as a symbol of unity and dealing with mental health and psycho social challenges they go through during their day to day activities as domestic workers.
