As an organization,we continue to improve the lives of women domestic workers relationship with employers by creating awareness on their rights and responsibilities. Due to lost income and jobs due to Covid-19 pandemic and lock downs,some started small businesses as an alternative way of supporting their families and supplement their income.. As an organization,we have partnered with key partner like Kenya Community Development Foundation to support them by implementation of "Inua Mama Fua" post Covid recovery project. We want to thank all our parners and government for the good relationship as we impact lives of the women domestic workers.






Dhobi Women Network continues to impact lives by responding to women needs amid Covid 19 and those who lost income. Yesterday we issued cheques to those who lost jobs to scale up their businesses and others who want to start new businesses. We thank our partner Kenya Community Development Foundation for their kind support towards this noble cause.



Dhobi women have been receiving masks from our office to avoid being arrested for not wearing masks as they plan for the future. Dhobi Women Network organization is planning for few activities to help them recover after loosing jobs due to Covid 19.



Dhobi women office continues to work with like minded agencies and bodies to address the challenges being faced by the women during covid 19 pandemic . We appreciate the good work and collaboration with Tandaza Trust and Kileleshwa chief's office for the good work and support they give to our office..






Women casual domestic workers were highly affected by covid 19 losing jobs and income. Some have been sleeping hungry,houses closed due to rent arrears. The organization through partnership with Tandaza Trust a social justice arm of Kileleshwa Covenant Community Church gave food donations and Center for Rights and Awareness (CREAW) Kenya giving cash transfers to the women.



Dhobi Women in partnership with Kiambiu Teenseed a local CBO continues with economic empowerment for young mothers who have lost jobs during covid 19. They are ready to start a new journey again.
